I know it's kind of "against the rules" to post two blogs in one day, but two babies, two nights in a row is reason enough to let that slide. ;)
It's not very often that the babies I work with don't cave in the warm soothing environment that I create for them, in fact, the adults present usual end up pretty sleepy themselves (myself included!). But this little girl was able to resist it all! I'm pretty sure I spent more time cuddling her, than actually taking photographs, but the baby lover in me didn't mind one bit. Though she decided to stay awake for much of the session, I was still able to sneak in a few shots here and there. Here are a few, isn't she a beauty?!? :)

Baby sister...
I've been looking forward to this session for several months now! I first met her family back in May for their maternity session. During my original phone conversation with Mama, she requested I come take pictures the day after the baby was born in the hospital. I had a planned trip out of state a couple of weeks before her due date, but we were going to plan for it and see how it went.
A couple days before I left, she wasn't sure that baby was going to wait until I got back, but much to my surprise, she was born the day before I came home. She had perfect timing! :) I drove home, dropped my family off, then went straight to the hospital to meet her.
How perfect is she?!?
A few days later they brought her to the studio. She was a champ! No breaks needed & I got all of my "planned" shots, plus a few more, in less than 2 hours.
Take a peek...
Looking forward to watching her grow as I capture her milestones at 3, 6, 9, & 12 months!

I'm still here...
I look to see how long it's been since I've blogged, and I can hardly believe it myself. Has it really been since last summer? Surely the date on the last blog is lying, right? :)
So summer goes into ::my busiest time of the year::... enter holiday photos. Following that I made ::the:: big switch. I'm now a Mac girl, and oh how PC I've been trained over the years! I thought it'd be an easy adjustment, but I'll be honest, I've been playing catch up since January. Only in the past 2-3 week have I felt that I really have a clue as to what I'm doing.
And just in time for my mini baby boom...
I've had 2 newborn sessions in the past week or so, and I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my due-anyday-now-niece. I'm on to being an aunt of 12 here and I can honestly say, it NEVER gets old!
A random thought before I get to pictures (because that is after all what I'm supposed to be blogging about). ;)
You might notice I've changed my logo. There was some confusion with this (even in my own family) as to why I'd change after nearly 3 years. My name ::shocker:: is not the easiest to pronounce, and even more so, spell. I was finding it increasingly difficult for people to be able to interpret the spelling with my original logo being so fancy. I decided to make the switch to a much more "me" personality, and easier to read/spell. So there you go.
So onto the pictures!
Here's a pair of sessions...Maternity & Newborn...enjoy...
::Sigh:: I could do this ::everyday::

Milestones...
Milestones... I love photographing milestones! For those of you who may not be familiar, I am referring to capturing images throughout baby's first year. There are many ways people choose to do them, some like to capture it all...Maternity, Newborn, 3m, 6m, 9m, & 12m...while others will have them done for Newborn, 6m & 12m. There is no right or wrong way to do them, but I love looking back after baby's first birthday to see how he/she changed. It happens so quickly!
This little guy was in for his 6 month session today! I have already photographed their maternity photos & his newborn.
Isn't he adorable?
I love having the 'excuse' to see this cute face on a regular basis!
Interested in milestones for you or someone you know? Send me an e-mail at kbphotography10@yahoo.com for more information.
Know a special Mom or Mommy-to-be? Gift certificates make a great Mother's Day or baby shower gift! :o)

Today I had the privilege of photographing baby Austin. He is such an incredibly sweet baby, and at 2 & 1/2 weeks old, he was the perfect little model. :o)

Valentine's special...
Valentine's Day has always been a little extra special around my house growing up, because, it is also my parents' anniversary. :o) Now, I am all about tradition, and making memories. One of my most lasting memories has always been our celebrations each year. I'm pretty sure we can thank my oldest sister for getting this one started, but each year we've "surprised" my parents and made dinner.
This isn't just any dinner of course, it's like a 15 course meal, and bless my parents for being patient...it is NEVER on time! I don't think it ever matters what time we begin, but it's usually 7...8...9...o'clock by the time we sit down to eat.
If the phone rings during dinner, my Mom will inform the caller that she is enjoying her "romantic candle light dinner for 14" (though this number has jumped over the years), and yes, there really are candles...but romantic? Well...maybe not so much. :o)
Well, tomorrow marks 32 years. I went grocery shopping for "the meal" after work today, and I am passing the torch of dinner making privileges to my younger siblings to carry on. This year, I get to be a guest, unless of course they're running late!
So in honor of my parent's 32 years of celebration, I would like to offer a 32% discount on all previous sessions* (prior to 2012). In order to take advantage of this special, simply e-mail me at kbphotography10@yahoo.com before the stroke of midnight on February 14, 2012 to receive your coupon code. I will upload your session(s) onto my website: www.kbphotography10.com & you will have until Friday February 17, 2012 to place your order.
Speaking of celebrating...
We also celebrated a first birthday in the studio this past weekend, and a blog post isn't a post without pictures, so enjoy...
*E-mail must be received at kbphotography10@yahoo.com by midnight on February 14th, 2012 to qualify. No other discounts may apply. 32% discount good towards a la carte purchases only. Must pay shipping, or pick up prints from the studio. Orders must be placed by Friday February 17th, 2012 to use coupon. Must have previously ordered prints from choice session.

A special sneak peek...
I achieved a milestone of my own this week. :o) I photograph twins a lot, but I didn't start doing this professionally until after they were all older. A few days ago, I had the privilege of photographing my very first set of newborn twins. :o)
First off, just want to mention again how much I appreciate my little sister. I think she was {almost} as excited about this as I was! Here's a little gimps of her in action.
I'm convinced she has become a mind reader, she knows exactly what I'm thinking most of the time! I love working with her.
These sweet babies were 5 days old, and did very well once we got all settled in.
Enjoy...
I'm already looking forward to doing more twin sessions in the future. :o)

Twice blessed...
I had the privilege of welcoming twin boys into my studio yesterday! I have many sets of twins in my life (another blog for another time...), but these are the first I've photographed as babies.
Being that they are nearing 2 months old, I was not sure what to expect...but I must say, they did incredible! We started off a little fussy, but once they were all cozy & warm, we were good to go.
Take a peek...
These photos make me love being a newborn photographer even more. :o)
