Twice blessed...

I had the privilege of welcoming twin boys into my studio yesterday! I have many sets of twins in my life (another blog for another time...), but these are the first I've photographed as babies.

Being that they are nearing 2 months old, I was not sure what to expect...but I must say, they did incredible! We started off a little fussy, but once they were all cozy & warm, we were good to go.

Take a peek...

These photos make me love being a newborn photographer even more. :o)

My little professionals...

It's only one photo so far, but I just had to share! My sister & I have been trying to coordinate schedules for literally 2 months now. We finally set a date/time...I was going to meet her after Church let out. Come to find out, she made plans with her in-laws. We've all been so busy lately that they hadn't seen each other in a while. So cancel? Of course not! I've made little professionals out of her children...but they're even more professional than I thought! :o)

We had about...umm...15 minutes? Yes, and that was all we needed. Her boys stood there and smiled perfectly, then shouted "next" (insert first, middle, last names here shouted by the 3 year old), to get their photos taken. It was perfection.

Family photos in 15 minutes anyone? Yes please!

Loves these kiddos! :o)

Mini models in October...

Wow, October has come & gone by so quickly! I got to celebrate 2 new lives last month, as well as see some old friends, and made new ones along the way. :o)

Before I get to my sneak peek, I wanted to give a quick update: If you, or someone you know is thinking of having their Christmas photos taken, my deadline for guaranteed Christmas delivery is November 20th, 2011. All sessions that take place after this date will have a rush fee added onto the session fee if needed for Christmas. Please know that I do not have many sessions available between now & the 20th, so e-mail me at kbphotography10@yahoo.com to reserve your spot. Exceptions will be made for newborns only.

Moving right along! :o) I had 6 families help me out by bringing their little ones to my studio to try out some new props. I must say, I enjoyed this tremendously! It was so much fun having these cute faces here & being able to use most of the props I've recently collected (and by collected, I mean they're taking over my house! haha).
So here they are...enjoy!

Until next time... :o)

2 days new...

I am now "Aunt Kristin" x13...and loving every minute of it! Though this little guy may not technically be my nephew, I'm still in love. :o)

My little sister (though not so 'little' anymore) has become my official newborn photography assistant. She's incredible! I just thought everyone should know. :o) She & I spent the afternoon at our cousin's house taking photos of their new little addition. I could have stayed all day just to hold him.

Here's a sneak peek from his session. Enjoy...

Big Brother!

Hat can be purchased from Hometown Harmony :o)
More to come. :o)

5 days new...

Yesterday I had my 7th newborn session this year! I'm finding the more I do, the more I love them. There's something so sweet about spending time with newborns. I honestly cannot get enough of them. As I expressed to this little guys family, I have 11 nieces & nephews, and it really doesn't get old. I fall in love instantly with each one, and I think this will continue to hold true with my newborn sessions as well. :o)

This little man is 5 days new. He is so incredibly sweet, I cannot wait to share all the images with his family. Take a peek...

This hat is from Hometown Harmony..a new favorite of mine!
 I love baby smiles.

Welcome to the world little one! We're glad to have you here. :o)

Snips and snails, And puppy dog tails...

That's what little boys are made of. :o)

My cousins are awaiting the arrival of their second boy. :o) I have (by default of having so many nieces & nephews) become 'Aunt Kristin' to their first born. His mom & I decided that 'Miss Kristin' was weird since we're related, but just 'Kristin' wouldn't do, as we were both raised with that extra bit of respect by adding 'Mr' or 'Miss' to an adults name. So Aunt Kristin I am.... x12....soon to be x13. :o)

This little guy was so excited to come over to my house, because aparently my house was where little brother was going to make his appearance...umm, Mama & I both thought a hospital would be better equipped!

Take a look...

I am excited to meet baby brother, but not as excited as big brother is! :o)

Spring ahead, fall behind...

I was pulling out my external considering what to title this post, and instantly I hear my Mother saying "spring ahead, fall behind." I'm sure that most of us use this little saying to remember which way to change our clocks each season. However, I'm now considering this in a new light. Fall is my busiest season, for obvious reasons, as families are excitedly capturing memories for personal keepsakes, gifts for family members, and Christmas cards to send out to loved ones. So I will definitely be 'falling behind' with my blogging over the next several weeks!

To go back a few months...(see, I'm already behind!). :o)

This sweetheart has quite the story. She was a late arrival (much like my niece!) and though I know it was tough for her Mama, I give her credit for being so patient. God was most definitely watching out for this little one and helped her parents make the right decisions during her birth that saved her life. I still get teary thinking about it, remembering how her Grandma told me her story, as I know how much joy she brings them. Life definitely wouldn't be the same without her...

Their miracle. :o)

I'm looking forward to having her in my studio again soon!

The next generation...

Every year my family takes a "time out" from reality and goes on a week vacation. We've been doing this for 16 years now, and I can't remember a year that I enjoyed more. It's a break from phones (for the most part...though I honestly left mine in the bedroom all week...only checking once or twice a day), tv, internet, and just everyday life. We have the chance to reconnect, be lazy, and make a handful of new memories each year. :o)

This is probably the only time each year that we are ALL together for any length of time, so we took advantage of it and captured a much overdue new "cousin" photo.

Word cannot describe what a blessing my nieces and nephews are to me. Each one brings a unique joy to my life, far more than I could have ever imagined. So the following photos are very near & dear to my heart. Every smile, every silly face, & every uncooperative toddler!

Shall we call this 'adventures with Aunt Kristin'? Take 1 grandma, 2 aunts, and 11 kiddos ages 5 and under...and you get my favorite pictures to date.

Take a look...

The boys :o)
The girls :o)

I cannot wait to get some on my walls! More family photos to come later this week. :o)

A ray of sunshine...

I can hardly believe that my youngest niece is old enough to have her 6 month session! I'm learning all too quickly the importance of "not blinking" as my Mom has always told us...and the significance of capturing the memories before they slip away.

I'd like to say that this little one has been smiling since she made her grand arrival {12 days late}, and she probably has. (You can read about her Mama waiting on her here, and her first 3 months here). She has a smile that will melt your heart~and the personality to go with it!

So here's another moment captured forever in my heart. Take a peek.

Happy 1/2 birthday little one, you're aunt loves you! :o)

35 weeks and counting...

One of the things I have come to love about my job is seeing familiar faces. It give me an 'excuse' to catch up with families I haven't seen in years, and since I'm always up for a good conversation, this job is good for me. :o)

I spent the better part of the evening with an old friend. She's expecting her first baby and couldn't be happier! It's hard to believe she's due in just 5 weeks, her belly is so tiny!

Take a look...

 Stay tuned for baby. :o)

Best friends...

About a month ago, I had a session for 4 siblings surprising their parents for their anniversary, by having photos taken. One of the girls mentioned to me that she wanted to have a session for her & her best friend, who will be leaving for college this month, also as a surprise. We met up this morning and had some fun!

She opened her trunk & it was full of items that had been a part of their last 8 years of memory making!

Take a peek... :o)

Thank you for the crazy fun morning ladies! :o)

Time to celebrate...

I met the sweetest {almost} 2 year old before I left for Phoenix. She's a huge fan of Olivia, and had the props to prove it! I posted a sneak peek before, but take a look at a few more from her session. Such personality! :o)

For those of you unfamiliar with children's television shows, this is Olivia. :o)
Look at those sweet eyes!
Enough with the shoes & socks already...my kind of girl!
Notice the hair-clip being pulled out in the bottom photo. Too cute!
Happy Birthday!!
